I just tried changing the links on the right and now let’s see if they revert to fakelink1 or stay how i had them…
Thrilling, this blog lark, int’it.

If only to stem the tide of “What have you been up to since seeing them charros on Sunday” questions that have been filling up my inbox, here´s a summary.
Photojournalism classes: 2 per week, 4 hours each in the Hospicio Cabañas in the centre of town. Intriguing stuff, if a little long. I´m remembering why I gave up academia in the first place. I can´t deal with people talking in dark rooms for hours on end. But it has its highlights and the bloke doing the seminars has a lot to teach, definitely glad I signed up…
Yesterday, some fine tuning of the tequila pictures for G.Tulum tequila and a visit to the place where they´re making the bottles.
They’d actually already finished making the bottles for my client, but they were busy making bull and machine gun shaped bottles for someone else.
I’ve also been doing bits and bobs for www.sit2007.org and today and last night I had a go at designing a logo for the Flickr’s Vivir Guadalajara splinter group the recently christened El Lente Tapatío… Here’s the latest iteration, judgement tomorrow…
This morning I read Sita’s latest chapter and it’s excellent as usual, all about the neo liberal politics of tequila protection. And it’s actually hard to put down. Right now Sita’s watching Ay, Jalisco, no te rajes as part of her research and is gasping at every plot twist and loving it. I think I’ll join her. A bientot, mes amis.
Julieta Venegas, an important exception to the general ruling: Play an accordion, go to jail. (or gaol… Sarah)
Mornin’ T, I hope you have as much fun as we did on yer birthday. We’ll take you to one of Guadalajara’s vegetarian restaurants when you make it down here, or Malabar if we see you first in SC. Alrighty, I’m going back to designing hair dressing websites, thinking of you and wishing you the best. Cheers!
On Monday I bought meself a new graphics card and it was working lovely, I had one computer going with dual monitors, ie. you move the mouse off the side of one and it appears on the other, it was a wonder to behold……so when I came home on Tuesday and it had died on me I wasn’t best pleased and am back with the one computer-one monitor until I get a chance to go and argue my statutory rights at Circuit City.
Anyroad, more techie stuff, but I thoroughly recommend Picassa (Google’s image library program), it makes nice little web pages and is a really fun interface for sorting through yer pics. Here are some photos form last weekend, after the wedding, strolling along the beach with young Mrs. Gaytan. I might even put some other collections up, ‘cos it’s easy to do and i’ve got another 800meg webspace for GwynUnlimited…
Found out what a dental cleaning appointment is today. Can’t say I’d recommend it. They seem to have removed the protective layer of plaque that was holding my teeth together and now my teeth are all shiny and smooth. Seems like a stealth attempt to americanise me if ever i saw it. Anyroad, had a long day at the office. Stu’n’anne’eddie messengered me and we had a little chat, they were staying up late, the rogues… anyhoo. i cooked a pizza, watched an old episode of angel and played a bit of guitar and soon enough, Sita’ll be back after a hard day’s sociology. huzzah.
Thought I’d have a go at this blog malarkey, who knows where it may lead… Not quite sure who my audience is here, though I suspect it may be just me. it’s like writing a diary in email form to yourself, but knowing anyone could read it stops anything personal getting on here, so it’ll just be my eating & telly habits then. righty, hasta pronto and cheers.
Another spanish word of the week: La Baticueva. Bat cave. Bats of course, are called murcielagos… Here’s the one we saw in Los Colomos park t’other day. We also managed not to molest any of the fauna, which include abandoned house rabbits…
M & D are still casa-less, but they’re on it. We’re off for a meal somewhere and then bowling. It’s been a while, not since Ed was here this time last year. I think I’ve seen The Big Lebowski more times in the last 2 years than actually gone bowling. Anyroad, I’ve put on some nice, clean socks especially and am ready for a few white russians and fluking the occasional chuza (strike) at the bolinche…
