If this here Flash game makes you sweat and out of breath, you’re in trouble mind…

Dynamic javascript re-rendering of CSS or Pimp my site
Thanks to Mark Wilton-Jones‘s handy little guide and coding, I’ve put a new section on the right for you to swap between stylesheets. I’m not sure how it affects the loading time of the page and if there’s an public uproar, I’ll remove it. Also the new title picture:
is not perfect, and I’ve realised that IE users (Why, oh why?) can’t deal with the PNG transparency. Another quirk I just noticed with explorer is that if your screen resolution is less than 800 wide, the sidebar disappears south. So I’ll be rejigging all that soon enough. Sita’s not keen on the font for G and W neither, so it simply has to go… enjoy it while it lasts… Them buttons are made for clicking…
Last night Sita made ‘plans’ to go to the cinema with her mates, but the advertised film they wanted to see wasn’t there so they ended up in a bar in Zapopan. Jose, victor and me went straight to La Barba Negra for beers and blues, since we don’t excuses to hit the bars. Jose’s had one hell of a week, he’s another one who should blog. Well, he does have one for his excellent poems but I reckon the world would like to know more about a week that ended with someone cycling away from his block of flats firing gunshots in the air and shouting “Arriba, Sinaloa”. Comment below to petition Jose to set up mividaesunatelenovelamalaybarata.blogspot.com …
Today we’re going to an Indian restaurant. Yep, in Guadalajara. It’s brand new and supposedly has curry… it’s been 9 long, curryless months and expectations are high… Shall reveal all manana…
Grandma
I just heard on Saturday evening that my other grandmother, Grandma, my Dad’s mum, Lillian passed away peacefully and altogether unexpectedly in her sleep. She was 89 and to say she had a good innings would be an understatement. Nonetheless we are all pretty shocked and still coming to terms with our loss of a much-loved, fantastic, kind, generous person in our lives. I’ll attempt some kind of eulogy in these pages soon, but in the meantime, I just wanted to share what was going on.
Here’s Grandma last December haggling over gourmet cheeses in Taunton’s Saturday morning market:
V for Victor
After seeing far too many Che Guevara T-Shirts at last night’s Fiesta de Musica in Av. Chapultepec, i was inspired to follow this tutorial: www.family-portrait-artists.com/ and give Victor Jara a makeover. Shame he looks a bit simian, but it’s my first attempt…
Definitely a fun night, the only band anyone had heard of was Los Amigos Invisibles, who cancelled, so Fernando, Jose and me walked the length of the street a couple of times and decided to adjourn to El Muro, then La Barba Negra. Sleep caught up with me around 2am, so I wandered home, gutted to find my favourite taco stand had packed up and gone home already. I got an episode of Lost in (Sita’s new record: 8 episodes in one sitting) , about 4 pints of water and half a loaf of bread, and crashed out. Today I’m up to web designery and hopefully going to see ‘V for Vendetta’ later this evening. It got rave reviews over here, it had a mixed reception in Blighty, though.
And Sita’s headed for the 8th circle…
It’s not as bad as it looks. A fairly rigid interpretation of the bible this one…
