Back to work after a good few days seeing the sights of Guanajuato with Monica and Daniel. Click on either photo below to be magically transported to Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende. Might manage a post or two on Friday… agaveweb.com/kevin and the spectacles site’s what I’m up to for now…
… but here’s a video I found via VivirGuadalara.com for people who want to see the cows, but suffer from attention deficit disorder: Cow Parade #1 and shorter but equally frenetic Cow Parade #2 de Guanatos, Mex. Just because you have the tools to edit videos like this doesn’t necessarily mean you should use it. Or you risk it looking like a Kenny Everett sketch from 1983
Now I’m definitely off to Tequila. With my camera. And no dog. Might reach the 6,000 photos uploaded on Flickr benchmark today…
Make yerself dizzy watching badly filmed footage from Tonala today, if it looks less busy than usual that’s cos it’s near the edge, the only place where filming from your waist doesn’t result in a permashot of people obstructing the way… You don’t realise how loud it all it till you listen to it in the comfort of your middle class barrio and it’s just the fruit, veggies and DVD bit…
Sita bought plenty of artesania & pressies, including 2 huge mirrors for MX$300 the pair of ’em. No idea how we’ll get those back one day. And also the following DVDs found their way into my hands (reviews soon, and Superman too 3.5 Lulus):
Batman Begins : saw it on 4-8-05 “Formidable rendering of Batman’s backstory. Nice understated CGI too. Yay. 4 Lulus” Cronicas: (Sebastián Cordero) s’posed to be good Jarhead: to take my mind off the incipient WW III brewing to the East… Good night and good luck: Was misadvertised at the cinema and we ended up having a coffee instead City of God: Saw this before I started reviewing films. One of my all time favourites.
Here’s a state-of-the-art, bleeding edge out-of-the-box, envelope-pushing web design agency in a back street, Felipe’s:
We’ve been planning the trip back, and shall probably only slightly vary the stopping points. Any recommendations for places to stay/eat in Hermosillo and Culiacan?
This evening Casa Gaytan-Fisher-Seltzer-Garcia is hosting a German evening. Daniel’s been cooking for what seems like a fortnight and some mates are coming round tonight to sample his gastronomic meat and potato based delights. Tomorrow there’s a party (all are welcome) round Amour Fou way, email me for details. And on Sunday, we may well be off to Tapalpa for the day. If I’m not knackered and we’re back in time there’s cultural goings on at Café Clandestino, who’ve gotten themselves a fancy YouTube page and sent out the following invite for Spanish poetry readings on Sunday evening at 8ish :
Thanks Christina from Canada for your comment in the Guestmap. Glad to be of service 🙂 And if any of you haven’t yet guestmapped yerselves it fair makes my day to get new little guestmappees.
And, especially for Matt, try and get past level 27 on this here Flash game… Consider yourself served…

Gwyn:
I don’t know baseball vocab either- especially with verbs like ‘driblar’…. …like the photos, tho’, and recognised Teatro Juarez and a few views.. some nice angles, colours and compositions.
Driblan en el beisbol? Wonders never cease…. : ) Será antes o después de los jonrones…
Hi Gwyn, can’t wait to revisit great places like Guanajuato…. Glad you had a wonderful time, como siempre. Good photos.
Que tal la vida seca para un mojado ingles? Quien gano- pienso que no fue Obrador?
