One year late I finally got round to watching the last three (brilliant) episodes of Doctor Who series 3, with Sam Tyler and all that. Now “Here come the drums” has displaced Fleet Foxes in me head. Which means I’ll probably get more done given its frantic pacing.

Am a bit knackered now, I also took about 200 photos of jimadores, if I gather up the energy I´ll write about them, I also recorded the conversations I had with them hopefully for a video spectacular coming soon!
I’ve been having a great weekend, not blogging is usually a good sign… just made proper chips, with oil and potatoes and salt and vinegar. and peas and lasagne and baked beans and a pint of dry blackthorn cider. living like croesus… Anyroad, according to a 10-question meme:
You Are 23 Years Old
23
20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what’s to come… love, work, and new experiences.
Another day, another picture of Sita posing with people in costume. Yesterday we went to Guadalajara’s annual pet expo, which had something for everyone. Sita got to spend time with dogs because she misses Atticus something chronic. I got to experiment with low light indoor settings on my camera (with limited success). I also won a rubber ball. One stand was asking questions like what was Lassie’s name, how many dogs make 5? etc. then they asked does anyone have a photo of their dog in their pocket? And I couldn’t resist so I whipped out the picture (it’s v. small, it’s from the catalogue page of all your photos when you order prints) and won myself the prize. They asked ‘De dónde nos visitas?’ and I said Inglaterra, which is probably the furthest anyone’s every come to visit their expo. After all the fun of the fair (photo slideshow here, incidentally, CAUTION, Mum, MAY CONTAIN IGUANAS- have cushion ready at the ready) we were off to Gigante for supplies and Sita made a v. nice lemony chicken affair and I made the guacamole. The picture’s of me in the kitchen modeling my brand new Parque Metrolpolitano Voluntario T-Shirt…
And, as promised, here’s my rendition of Land of My Fathers the Welsh national anthem. I can’t say I was overly familiar with it but I likes a challenge. It’s not exactly the Morriston Orpheus Male Voice Choir, in fact it’s more like a cross between a Greek drinking song, an Italian wedding and a Welsh primary school recorder club, but here we go. Comment away and keep the requests coming, something more upbeat next time Click here to download/ play this, frankly poor, start to the series…landofmyfathers.mp3 (1396k file)
