I miss decent adverts…

Mixup of the original.

In other news, I just opened the door to Sita’s office and was attacked by something that looked for all the world like some kind of crazed diurnal bat. I armed myself with my camera and went to investigate upstairs where it had fled…

Just a moth. A huge bloody great moth. Brooding on the window with murder on its mind. With big mothy mandibles. It’s still there… I’m sleeping downstairs tonight.

  1. people don´t usually kill them here because of the superstition that tragedy will strike those who kill them…I don´t know about that, but I´ve killed quite a few with a broom.

  2. I think this one would have grabbed the broom off me and chased me with it. Luckily it didn’t come to a face off, I left a window open and as far as I can tell it’s gone…

  3. So she left on her own! good for you… then you didn’t have to be showered in the ‘black little hairs” they spray when you disturb them =)
Have you seen a tarantula? sometimes they also show up unexpectedly in homes… just like the moth -heheh.. not trying to scare you!

  4. ¡Ay güey! Hasta chinito me puse, ve…

I’m scared to death of these things. Whenever there’s one around I just freeze, can’t keep my eyes off it, the wife has to get the broom and shove it out because I’m just too busy whimpering like a girl (and your friend Cuquis here just made me physically ill, heh).

    There, I said it.

In my defense, I’ll say Alina has a phobia towards black widows… which I get rid of with much manly gallantness and pluck.

Anyway… Gwyn, I just came back from England. Se me cae la cara de vergüenza por no haberte ofrecido llevar o traer algo para ti… 🙁 Fue un plan más bien impromptu, pero igual, qué mala onda me vi, very sorry.

On the bright side, if you haven’t seen Spamalot, I now can heartily recommend it to you. I don’t know if you’re much of a Python fan, but doesn’t matter, it’s amazing anyway. Don’t miss it if you have the chance.

  5. All I wanted from England were some words of solidarity about gigantic moths y cumpliste, gracias!

I haven’t seen a musical since Cats in 1986 in Toronto, but if I find myself near a local production of Spamalot I’ll be sure to pop by.
