Quick post
I’m off to watch ‘democracy’ in action with DrSita in a mo…
Just saw this meme in Flash’s blog:
* Grab the nearest book.
* Open it to page 56.
* Find the fifth sentence.
* Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
* Don’t dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST.
One question almost every dog owner asks is, “How do I keep my dog from jumping up on people?”
From Dog Training for Dummies. (page 56 was blank, this was 57)
Shall post more today…
‘Je veux dire…. il y a quantite de types des Forces qui finissent flics.’
Necromancien, de William Gibson.
The other book in reach was Lonely Planet, Spain!!
That would be ‘neuro’ not ‘necro’. Freudian slip, nichivo?
PS just learned that ?!is called an ‘interrobang’.
I mean, there are several types of Forces who end up cops (?!) It’s been a while since I did any French.
My nearest books are all in Spanish but they’re holding up my shelves…
I’m lucky that the nearest when I read that meme was one I am really enjoying.
In fact it’s the first biog where I’ve turned to the words first rather than the pictures…
Did you see the documentary he made on Colombia’s drug trade? Lend us the book when you’ve finished with it please 🙂
I certainly did see it. He’s just SO COOL! Stunningly attractive, good musician, highly intelligent, loves astronomy – just when you think he can’t get any cooler he starts a farm and does a documentary.
He is our generation’s Stephen Fry.
Blimey someone’s a fan. He’s quite the renaissance man. He could probably even spell renaissance without having to spellcheck it too…
