Did you see that image on the interwebs the other day. It was a poster like this that said ‘Have you seen this poster’ and the tear-off strips at the bottom all said ‘Yes’.

Vintage bridge

Vintage bridge

A parade of vintage vehicles preceded the Memorial Day parade in Brunswick yesterday. I know nothing about cars. I can barely remember the make and model of our car when I take it for an oil change… I think it’s green. Anyroad, I wanted them to be a background element lending atmosphere to the shot rather than being centre stage.

Someone had a birthday… I took all the lovely messages from DrSita’s facebook page and fed them into Wordle and put them over this here diptych of Atticus doing his thing. Here’s the result… Click here for the massive version.

Let ’em loose

Let ’em loose

There was an art collective in Oaxaca stencilling (Banksy-style) creations all over the town. We managed to get to the official opening of a gallery exhibit- Disociales. I’m fairly sure this is by the same folks- it was in a little boutique with “no photography allowed” signs. Made to be broken, etc…

In other news, I’ve made a few tweaks to this site, a prize if you can spot them… nothing major but you might like to try out the Random Image Slideshow (beta)

Nailed it

I think I’ve got enough photos to get through this week… but let’s start with the minimalism to your left and get more maximal as the week plods by, what do you reckon?

Also, from now on, if you’re viewing this on the actual website rather than via email/RSS there’ll be a link to Flickr at the bottom of each picture just in case you’re into that kind of thing.

Dia de los muertos 2008

This photo’s from November 2nd or thereabouts. I’ve not had a chance to go out and take new pictures in the last few days. Things have suddenly got very busy. I shall try and keep this blog going again but I’m going to take the weekend off. Hopefully very soon I’ll be trying to fit pictures of Seattle into the carefully made categories of this here phlog.

Also watch out for the about pages which now feature ads for Duaflex cameras… Have a great weekend, I’ll post again on Monday.

Bicycle in La Fuente

Legend has it that 80 years or so ago a punter couldn’t pay his bar tab so he left his bike there promising to come back the next day with the cash. He never returned and so his dusty bike now surveys all in the La Fuente Cantina in the centre of Guadalajara. It’s now their logo too.
