Since they don&#8217;t make film for these things any more the idea is you take a picture with another camera Through the Viewfinder (Ttv) of what it sees. You end up with slightly distorted, vignetted, dusty, square images that are really pleasing to the eye. I was inspired and bought the first camera I saw on eBay. It&#8217;s been a while since I used eBay and my original bid of 5 dollars was soon outbid and I got caught up in the competitive bidding and finally snapped it up (pun intended) at the last second for 20 bucks and it arrived today. You can probably get them cheaper, but what the hell&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The next step after cleaning the lens and mirror a bit was making it light proof, there&#8217;s a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.russmorris.com\/ttv\/02.html\">tutorial on how to make a perfectly fitting tube<\/a>, but I couldn&#8217;t be arsed with all that&#8230; I ripped up the box it came it and went into a sellotaping frenzy&#8230; 10 minutes later&#8230; behold!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1222\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1222\" style=\"width: 450px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/agaveweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/100_2997.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1222\" src=\"https:\/\/agaveweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/100_2997-450x600.jpg\" alt=\"The Kodak Duaflex IV\/ Pentax K110 Chimera\" width=\"450\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1222\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Kodak Duaflex IV\/ Pentax K110 Chimera<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Next step is wandering around seeing things from a waist-high angle for a while and getting used to the mirror image while Drsita and Atticus look on bemusedly.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/g_w_y_n\/sets\/72157608212842666\/\">the set on Flickr from today <\/a>and here&#8217;s me favourite below:<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 450px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a title=\"Eats, shoots and leaves by Guanatos Gwyn, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/g_w_y_n\/2958846655\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3177\/2958846655_255eafa9c9.jpg\" alt=\"Eats, shoots and leaves\" width=\"450\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Eats, shoots and leaves<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>To make a long story short, I&#8217;m very happy with me new toy.<\/p>\n<p>Other news&#8230; we&#8217;re looking forward to Sally and Martin&#8217;s visit in a few days. Had a lovely weekend and met the neighbours properly.
