WordPress Website Maintenance Agreement

This Agreement is made between AgaveWeb, LLC (“Service Provider”) and (“Client”) for ongoing WordPress maintenance services.


1. Scope of Services

The Service Provider will provide WordPress website maintenance using WP Umbrella services. The package includes:

  • Regular monitoring, updates, and fixes
  • Monthly maintenance reports
  • Backup restoration in the unlikely event of a hack or site failure

Included in the annual package ($490/year):

We update WordPress, update all plugins, and confirm everything is working correctly. If it’s not we troubleshoot and fix conflicts. In rare cases a plugin or upgrade will be incompatible or cause a major issue, in which case we’ll roll back the site to its working state, and get you an estimate for fixing any more substantial problem, but usually we can just keep everything running.

  • Core, theme, and plugin updates
  • Security monitoring and uptime monitoring
  • Performance checks
  • Daily (last 50 days) offsite backups and restore functionality
  • Site recovery from a backup if the site is compromised

2. Excluded Services

The following services are not included in the annual package:

  • Security hardening (e.g., password changes, user account audits, firewall adjustments)
  • Log investigation and forensic analysis
  • Consultation on next steps after a security breach or attack
  • Any design, development, or functionality enhancements beyond routine maintenance

3. Additional Work

Requests outside the scope of the included services (such as new features, design changes, or custom coding) will be billed at the rate of $150/hour.

  • The Service Provider will provide a written estimate before beginning any additional work.
  • Work will only proceed with the Client’s written or emailed approval.

4. Fees and Payment

  • The annual maintenance fee is $490, payable in advance ( with discounts for multiple sites )
    • 1st site: $490 / year
    • 2nd site: $392 / year ( 20% off )
    • 3rd or more site: $343/yr ( 30% off )
  • Additional services, if requested, will be invoiced separately at $150/hour.
  • Payment for additional services is due within 30 days of invoicing.
  • Invoices are sent on the 1st of the month after work performed.

5. Term and Termination

  • This Agreement becomes effective on the first day of the calendar month following the date of signature and continues for a period of one (1) year from that date.
  • The Agreement is renewed manually on a year-to-year basis. Renewal requires the Client’s confirmation and payment of the annual fee.
  • Either party may terminate this Agreement with 30 days’ written notice.
  • If the Client terminates before the end of the contract year, the Service Provider will issue a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of the annual fee, calculated monthly.
  • Any partial months of service already begun are non-refundable.

6. Liability

The Service Provider will take all reasonable measures to maintain and secure the website. However, the Service Provider is not liable for:

  • Losses resulting from hacks, malware, or downtime beyond the scope of backup restoration
  • Third-party service failures (hosting, domain registrar, payment processors, etc.)
  • Client’s failure to maintain secure passwords or account access

7. Acceptance

By signing below, both parties agree to the terms of this Agreement.
