It was time to put the swamp cooler cosy on for the winter. Worth it for the view mind.
In the unlikely event I get through all the translations, websites and emails I just got thrown at me I’ll put the rest of the pics up. In short, an amazing little weekend break.

Just put a few new pics up on Flickr in a bid to encourage my dear parents to start uploading their Italy trip ones too 😉

Meanwhile 24hrs later and my arms still ache from hanging on for dear life. Apologies for less than steady camera work, kept hiding me brand new iphone under me shirt to stop it getting splashed. One of the most fun days out I’ve had in a fair while, thanks again Matt for orchestrating the entire trip.

Coming along nicely. This weekend I’m going to sort out the automatic irrigation once and for all, though I have to admit that watering the plants by hand first and last thing every day is good for the soul.
Atticus approves ‘n’all.
…cos the sunflower seeds just to the left did very well.
Clocks go forward soon don’t they? It’s a gorgeous day, perfect for ripping down metal structures. Soon, the entire back garden will be a schipperke-friendly market garden.

See how much snow melted in 17 seconds?
It’s not easy to capture the sheer scale of the geological goings-on in Zion National Park in a single pic. I tried fisheyes, stitching half a dozen shots into a panorama, then 40 odd shots into a panorama on me iTouch, zooming while shooting and trying to include teeny tiny humans somewhere in the image but I think the only answer is to start saving up for yet another lens… 18mm or thereabouts. Anyroad, hope you like this pic aimed down the valley from a relatively safe vantage point, unlike the ones where I feared for life, limb and camera on the icy stretch 20 feet from the top…
What an incredible weekend… See the whole gallery over at whatever picasa/google+ is calling itself today
