Jardin de Virginia

I love the way the shadows seem to have nothing to do with the lettering. The colour too is quite pleasing…
Once again, taken in Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico, a couple of days ago.

Pimp my ride

Tequila again, but the car’s from Michoacán. The loudspeaker on top is to keep you posted as you lie in on a Sunday morning of the latest prices of veggies, local politician´s promises, the times of lucha libre or bull fights and sometimes just music for the sheer hell of it. Love it!

Number 37

It got a bit hot today in Tequila. The dog here had the right idea. Stay in the shade. Maintain as much body contact with the concrete floor as possible. Do no exercise more strenuous than opening one eye occasionally. The green shadows are from the roof tiles.

3 Crows x 4 Cuervos

Jose Cuervo have spent a fortune doing up their old factory, La Rojea. It’s open for fancy tours and corporate events. Or, like me, save yourself a peso or two and just admire the grounds through the railings and patronise some of the other less slick factory tours in Tequila. Cuervo means “crow” in Spanish for the record.

Rolling AgaveScape

For once I got to be the passenger in the car on the toll road back from Tequila to Guadalajara. I love the turquoise volcanic landscape. 95 pesos each way in June 2007.
